How to Play
Step 1
Display the Panini Player of the Day promotional materials and advertise the promotion to your customers.
Step 2
You will notice three players– Robert Lewandowski, Diego Maradona and Ronaldo – are highlighted as Wild Cards. Collectors have four chances to win in every pack by either uncovering a Wild Card or the designated Player of the Day.
Step 3
On the first day of the promotion, place a gold sticker next to the first player pictured on the poster and counter-card (Lionel Messi) to indicate him as the Player of the Day. For the next 30 days, place a sticker on the next player pictured (Tomas Soucek, etc). Be sure to change the Player of the Day daily, making sure the poster and counter-card feature the same players every day.
HOW TO PLAY
Step 1
Customers can enter by purchasing a pack of Panini Soccer Trading Cards. There is a no-purchase-necessary option as well (see official rules for details).
Step 2
To win, the customer must open a pack they have purchased in front of a store employee and “pull” the Player of the Day or a Wild Card. We recommend allowing each customer to win a maximum of three times per day. Award them a prize from the promo kit and enter their name on the winner’s list. If a customer buys a box of cards but does not want to open it in the store, you can award them multiple prizes and enter their name on the winner’s list as they will most likely pull a winning card.
Step 3
Once the customer has won by uncovering the Wild Card or Player of the Day, they get the chance to win additional promo packs by “shooting” the three soccer balls in the tabletop soccer game and scoring a goal. You can decide how to award the prizes. For example, you can give them one, two or three shots to win one pack by scoring at least one goal or award one pack for every goal they score with their three shots. Feel free to come up with other creative ways to integrate the tabletop soccer game into the promotion. For example, if you want to expand the promotion to more customers, you can invite all customers who purchase a pack of Panini soccer cards (or any Panini product) shoot and score to win a promo pack.
Step 4
Four times during the promotion (weekly) randomly select one of your daily winners as a weekly prize winner. Award them a “weekly prize package” from the prizes provided in your merchandise kit (T-shirt, Promo Packs, etc). Make sure this is only for customers who qualified through purchasing a pack of Panini Soccer Cards. At the conclusion of the 30-day promotion, randomly select one of your winners as the Grand Prize Winner. Award them the grand prize (autographed card) and any other prizes you want to include from the kit. Once again, make sure this is only for customers who qualified through purchasing a pack of Panini Soccer Cards
Step 5
VERY IMPORTANT — Submit the name of your winner into the National Sweepstakes by completing the National Sweepstakes Entry Form by August 30, 2026 and send it to: Soccer POD National Sweepstakes • PO Box 998 • Commack, NY 11725. You can also enter this information online or submit the form via Fax at 631-462-2257. Your shop winner is not entered unless you submit this form.
